Cleaning

When things get messy, we take care of it. Our ambassadors and team leads patrol the sidewalks of the district before most residents are awake and after many are asleep for the night. More importantly, our ambassadors are trained to pay attention to the small details to keep the sidewalks in the best possible condition. Although the Clean Team is proactively cleaning, we encourage our stakeholders to contact us if there is anything that needs to be addressed.

Cleaning Services:

  • Graffiti and litter removal
  • Sidewalk pressure washing
  • Street furniture and fixture cleaning
  • Biohazard clean-up
  • Public sidewalk weeding
  • Reporting infrastructure issues to City
  • Homeless outreach
  • Business contacts

Homeless Welfare Checks

The East Cut CBD strives for a balance of maintaining clean sidewalks and connecting our homeless neighbors with the services they may need. When we receive calls about homeless concerns, our first priority is the health and safety of all parties. We make sure to treat everyone in the public realm equally and with compassion.

Community Feedback

Our Street Services team works above and beyond to make sure our district is clean and safe. If you see our members around the district, make sure to say hello!

Some feedback from the community:

“I just wanted to drop a note and say that I’ve seen Terrill quite a few times in the last few weeks while walking my dog. He’s always professional and super friendly.” – Sarah

“I’d like to commend Robert Perez for his kindness and for always going out of the way to pick up that hard-to-reach trash or help a lost tourist.” – Nathan”

“My boyfriend and I traveled to San Francisco for the first time. We, fortunately, spotted a security truck where Bobbi and her colleague were so pleasant and helpful! Instead of giving us a bunch of directions that previously did us no good earlier in our travels, Bobbi without any hesitation offered to have us follow her. My boyfriend and I were so appreciative of her going out of her way.” – Alici

“Again, we at Circle Medical have witnessed the great care of a person who was cold and not very responsive on the corner of Folsom and 1st street this morning.  James kept us informed of what was happening as he organized for an ambulance.  I did notice a team interacting in a caring way with the person slightly before I saw James as well. Thank you for the continued service your team provides around the area. I am fortunate enough to see the work of many members of your street team on a daily basis.” – Ian
