201 Spear Street is a POPOS that is part of an expansive walking network around the surrounding block. People here can be found passing through, eating lunch or taking phone calls. This space features a bronze sculpture by Seward Johnson in the center. The picnic tables here can accommodate a small to medium-sized lunch crowd. There is a planned restaurant adjacent that will serve dinner patrons. A Starbucks cafe and retail space help to activate the plaza in the daytime. The space could be enhanced and more inviting by additional lighting in the evenings.
